Together, We Prosper
For over 50 years, the Greater Washington Community Foundation has mobilized and ignited the power of philanthropy to respond to the greatest needs facing our community and build a thriving region where every person prospers.
In 2022, we launched the Together, We Prosper Campaign for Economic Justice to advance our bold vision to close this region’s racial wealth gap, while also sustaining our commitment to serve the needs of this community today and for the future. Thanks to our generous donors, the tireless efforts of our staff and Campaign Leadership, and the commitment of our community partners, the three-year campaign surpassed its goal and successfully concluded in June 2025.
As a result, this effort enabled us to launch new initiatives like the Brilliant Futures children’s savings pilot program, Thrive Prince George’s guaranteed income pilot, and other community wealth-building initiatives. Though the campaign has concluded, the work that it jump-started will continue to impact the community by increasing opportunities for everyone in our region to prosper and thrive.
